STICKS & STONES Caught in a wheel. This city never sleeps. It’s taking everything to keep up. Awake before the sun. I’ll try not to be too loud, and I’ll kiss you soft on my way out. We’re going round and round. Life is sweet, but it’s been a bitter road. We’ve been bruised by sticks and stones. Let’s ride the highs, and fight the lows. We’re going to be alright, you take the sticks, and I’ll take the stones. It’s work every day. But, like fighters in a ring, some hits hurt, some just sting. We try to get ahead. We can’t get off the ground, there’s too much noise to make a sound. We’re going round and round. Life is sweet, but it’s been a bitter road. We’ve been bruised by sticks and stones. Let’s ride the highs, and fight the lows. We’re going to be alright, you take the sticks, and I’ll take the stones.

SWEET CHARIOT Oh no, Sweet Chariot, all of us have been betrayed, they raised the debt again, we don’t have enough to pay. We’ve lost so much already, will they meet us halfway? Oh no, Sweet Chariot, they’re locking us in chains. Inside these prison walls, blood and greed share a face. All of us are strangers here; each of us has been displaced. Tangled between cold chains, we can’t carry this heavy weight. We want to go home, Sweet Chariot, but we need a little grace. Blind and barely breathing, they left us on our own. If they can keep us grieving, we won’t see all we’re missing, all that’s just beyond these stones. Let’s go home, Sweet Chariot, all of us have been set free. Our whole debt was paid today, there’s no need to beg and plead. So come on, Sweet Chariot, they’ve been given what they need. We’re going swimming in the Jordan, then we’re running to the sea. Come on, Sweet Chariot, we’ve been given all we need.

TIME TO LEAVE Wake up; it’s time to leave. You can sleep in the car. Our bags are packed. Let’s find a home that’s ours. It’s time to leave the life we’ve known. There’s more waiting for us, it’s time to leave. It’s time to leave the past alone. The road might get rough, but it’s time to leave. Come on, let’s go. It’s bittersweet saying goodbye, when we both know we can’t stay. We grew up here, The streets got paved, but nothing’s changed. It’s time to leave the life we’ve known. There’s more waiting for us, it’s time to leave. It’s time to leave the past alone. The road might get rough, but it’s time to leave. Come on, let’s go. We’ll see bright signs from bars we’ve never seen, and that new coffee shop you and I have been dreaming of. Grab your coat; we’ll get lunch in Salt Lake. It’s time to leave the life we’ve known. There’s more waiting for us, it’s time to leave. It’s time to leave the past alone. The road might get rough, but it’s time to leave. Come on, let’s go.

Bandages 03:42
BANDAGES Where on earth have you been? Are those tears on your face? I’ve been worried sick. Come in; get out of the rain. You’re covered in bandages. Have you gotten much sleep? Let me turn off the lights. I’ll stay here with you. Lay down as long as you’d like. You’re covered in bandages. Don’t try to run, you are a hostage held captive by pain. Put down your guns, you’ve been fighting so long and the wreckage has stayed. There’s been so much damage. Take time to heal, and you won’t need the bandages. You’re fighting again. What are you trying to save? You’re on the mend. Stop before you fall to your grave! Don’t try to run, you are a hostage held captive by pain. Put down your guns, you’ve been fighting so long and the wreckage has stayed. There’s been so much damage. Take time to heal, and you won’t need the bandages.

COME TO THE RIVER Lost; you can’t find your way, thinking out loud, stop telling me you’re fine. Stuck; you have nothing to say, stop being so proud, you don’t have to cry alone. Come to the river. I’ll carry you home. Come to the river. I won’t let you sink like them stones. Tonight, nothing seems fair, but it’ll work out somehow, don’t be so quick to leave. These burdens are so much to bear, they’re weighing you down, stop telling me you’re fine! Come to the river. I’ll carry you home. Come to the river. I won’t let you sink like them stones. Oh, my love, won’t you come on down? Come to the river. Come to the river. Come to the river. I won’t let you sink like them stones. Come to the river. I’ll carry you home. Come to the river. I won’t let you sink like them stones.
